🔴 Important Notice
All visa applicants may submit their applications directly at the Embassy of Algeria in New Delhi (Visa section) B 6 Anand Niketan New Delhi.
The Embassy declines any responsibility for any consequences or losses arising from dealings with unauthorized intermediaries.
📌 General Guidelines (Common requirements for all types of visas)
Applicants are requested to carefully review the following instructions before submitting their application:
- Visa application forms must be duly and fully filled in two (02) copies.
- All mandatory fields must be completed accurately.
- Each application form must bear the original signature of the applicant.
- The original passport must be submitted at the time of application.
- The passport must be valid for at least six (6) months and contain at least one blank page.
- Two (02) recent passport-sized photographs must be provided (white background, identical, unaltered, and without glasses unless medically required).
⚠️ Incomplete applications or errors may result in processing delays or rejection of the application.
General Provisions
- The Embassy reserves the right to request additional supporting documents where necessary.
- Processing times may vary and may be extended, particularly where prior approval from the competent Algerian authorities is required.
- The Embassy shall not be held responsible for delays beyond its control.
- Applicants may be required to appear in person for an interview, if deemed necessary.
✈️ Travel Notice
Applicants must comply with the start date of visa validity when traveling.
📄 Supporting Documents by Visa Type
In addition to the general required documents (Common requirements for all types of visas), please provide the following:
🧳 1. Business Visa
- An original invitation letter from an Algerian company.
- A letter of undertaking from the Indian company, issued on official letterhead and addressed to the Embassy, indicating:
- The purpose of the visit
- The name and address of the host entity in Algeria
- Proof of hotel reservation or evidence of accommodation and sufficient financial means to cover the stay.
- The letter must be signed by a company official other than the applicant.
🧭 2. Tourist Visa
- Copy of a return flight ticket.
- Confirmed hotel reservation, or an accommodation certificate certified by local authorities in Algeria, or an invitation from an Algerian travel agency including the travel itinerary.
- Proof of sufficient financial means.
🛠️ 3. Work Visa
- A duly signed employment contract from the employer in Algeria.
- A repatriation guarantee certificate, duly signed and certified by the competent labour authorities.
- A temporary work permit issued by the relevant Algerian authorities.
⏳ 4. Short-Term Work Visa (Less than 90 days)
- A work contract not exceeding 90 days.
- A duly signed repatriation guarantee certificate.
- A temporary work permit.
This type of visa may also be granted to individuals providing services or technical assistance to companies operating in Algeria.
👨👩👧 5. Family Visa
- Proof of family relationship (e.g., marriage certificate).
- If the Algerian spouse is not registered with the Embassy, supporting documentation must be provided.
- For families of foreign workers residing in Algeria:
- Copy of the family record book
- Work permit
- Residence certificate
- Accommodation certificate certified by local authorities.
🎭 6. Cultural Visa
- Invitation letter from the organizing entity.
- Proof of sufficient financial means.
📰 7. Journalist Visa
- Assignment letter from the media organization.
- Copy of press card.
- Where applicable, an invitation letter from an Algerian entity.
- A detailed work program (dates, interviews, locations, etc.).
- A list of audiovisual and technical equipment.
Visa Fees
Fees are determined on a reciprocal basis:
🇮🇳 Indian Nationals
- Single entry (30 days): INR 8,100
- Visa (90 days): INR 9,700
🇳🇵 Nepalese Nationals
- All visa types: INR 3,700
🇱🇰 Sri Lankan Nationals
- Tourist visa (30 days): INR 2,800
- Multiple-entry visa (90 days): INR 5,550

- Payment must be made exclusively in Indian Rupees by bank cheque payable to Embassy of Algeria in New Delhi.
🕘 Submission and Collection of Applications
- Applications must be submitted in person in New Delhi.
- Submission hours: 09:00 – 12:00 (Monday to Friday)
- Collection hours: 14:00 – 16:00 (Monday to Friday)
