HE Mr. Lounes Magramane, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has co-chaired, today, 29 March 2026, at the Ministry’s headquarters (Algiers), alongside with Ms Nina Malhotra, Secretary South, the Seventh Session of the Foreign Office Consultations (FOC).
During this occasion, both sides hailed the historical ties and bonds of friendship and cooperation between Algeria and India, and the positive dynamic witnessed in bilateral relations, especially following the state visit to Algeria undertaken by the President of the Republic of India, HE. Ms Droupadi Murmu, in October 2024, and the valuable discussions that Ms the President held with Mr Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the Republic.
The 7th Foreign Office Consultations (FOC), constituted an opportunity to discuss avenues and pathways of elevating the strategic partnership to the highest level, in line with the potential that both sides possess in various fields, as well as to review the calendar of upcoming bilateral events to serve the mutual interests of both countries.
The two sides also exchanged views on a number of current regional and international issues of mutual interest.
