On the sidelines of his participation in the second day of the African Union Executive Council, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, held bilateral talks today in Addis Ababa with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad of the sisterly Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzouk.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review the various aspects of the fraternal relations and cooperation between the two brotherly countries and to discuss prospects for taking them to a higher level in the context of ongoing preparations for the meeting of the Algerian-Mauritanian Joint High Commission, in line with the high directives of the leaders of the two countries and their strategic vision for bilateral partnership.
The two ministers also discussed, in consultation and coordination, the latest developments in their shared regional neighborhood.
