On the eve of the 12th session of the Oran Process on Peace and Security in Africa, scheduled for December 1 and 2, 2025, in Algiers, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, received Mr. Jean-Pierre de La Croix, Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations in charge of peacekeeping operations.
On this occasion, the two parties reviewed the latest security developments in Africa and the challenges they pose to peacekeeping operations, which are one of the most visible aspects of the United Nations' commitment to the African continent. They also exchanged views on the situation in the Sahel-Saharan region and the latest developments concerning the Western Sahara issue.
